Ko Samui Island is known to be the most extravagant island; it is located in the Southeast Asia on the Gulf of Thailand and also situated in the province of Surat Thani in the east coast of Thailand. This place is very preferred destination for lots of international tourists. This island brags the several of the heavenly beaches such as Ao Thong Takian Beach, Lamai Beach, and Chaweng Beach and so on. Except the beaches you will also find various other tourists attractions on this island.

At this place tourists will find the Big Buddha, it is one of the most essential tourist eye-catching of this island on the northeastern area. It is 15 meter tall statue of Buddha on the apex of the hill, which tourists are able to be seen from long distance. This is one of the religious sites to the local Buddhists people. Wat Plai Laem is also one of another Buddha temple which is situated close by, it is attention-grabbing architecture and multiple-armed Buddha statues.

This place has been beautified with various different restaurants for the tourists and it also presents a view from where tourists can enjoy spectacular view of the nearby. The tourists also see the Magic garden here, it is another wonderful place to travel and in this garden you will find the plenty of hand-made statues.

Visitors will also find the two unique rocks called Hin Ta and Hin Yai which is located at the Lamai beach on the southern coast of the island. These two rocks are also named as grandmother and grandfather rocks, in local language. This place has been a popular tourist attraction of this part.

In a short distance of Lamai, you will also find a very interesting temple called the Wat Khunaram, in this temple tourist will locate a mummified monk in mediating postures. The monk, Loung Pordaeng died on the same spot in 1977, in his lotus posture.

On the main road of the Nathon and Lamai tourists will find the Namuang I and II waterfalls on this island. Bothe these waterfalls are fairly imposing and also swim on the natural pools.
